Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do you guys have a shop location or are you only mobile?
A: We are mostly a mobile auto detailing service, however depending on the parking situation, the magnitude of the job, and/or the type of vehicle, we may offer to detail the vehicle at one of our private garages if the situation calls for it.
Q: How long does it take to do the work?
A: For routine detailing, cars: 2-5 hours, trucks/minivans/SUVs: 3-6 hours. If the car is in a bad condition, it can possibly take longer and cost more in dirty fees. For ceramic coatings, the timeframe ranges from 3-6 hours depending on the car, its condition, and the coating lifespan desired. When adding paint correction, it easily adds 2-6 more hours, resulting in a day-long event. If there is a tighter time constraint, just let us know and we can send another one of our professional detailers to assist on completing a job faster.
Q: I didn't take a thorough look at my car before you left. It's been a couple days since you detailed it and after having looked around some more, I feel there are some areas that could've used more attention than what they got. Do I have to deal with it until next time? Can I get my money back? Do I have to pay you again to come back out and clean the areas a second time?
A: We guarantee our work up to 3 days after your appointment. We want you to be beyond happy with your detailed car, it's quite the investment! We encourage you to look over the car while our detailer is still there so they can go over things you're not completely satisfied with, or if you have any questions about anything we may not have been able to remove or clean out completely. However, over the first 3 days if you see something that doesn't look right, please don't hesitate to let us know and we'll come back out as soon as we can to remedy any discrepancies you're not happy with; at no extra charge.
Q: Can I do a gift certificate for a friend/family member?
A: Yes! Feel free to take a look at our price menu and see what you think would be best for the person you're gifting the detail to. We're also happy to give recommendations. We'll email you an invoice to collect payment and the person receiving the gift can contact us and schedule for a date of their choosing.
Q: How do the ceramic coating warranties work?
A: Each coating warranty listed covers the lifespan for the respective warranty. Say, if you purchase the 2-year coating, expect it to last up to 2 years depending how well it's taken care of after we install it. All warranties are void when the car is taken through a drive-thru car wash, hand wash car wash facility, or touch-less drive-thru car wash. This includes the "detail" your car dealership offers when you take your car in for service. The warranties also do not cover damage from water sprinklers, aka hard water damage, nor damage from going off roading or body damage from car accidents. Be advised that bird droppings and bug splats will stain and etch through your coating if not cleaned off immediately. Ceramic coatings are strong and durable, but they weren't created to withstand blunt physical and chemical damage. It is encouraged from the ceramic coating companies to have your car washed and maintained professionally by those that installed the coating, which is a discounted service we offer. If you feel that's not ideal, it is encouraged to wash the car yourself with a pressure washer and deionized water with minimal contact as to not introduce new scratches into your ceramic coating. You don't need any fancy expensive soaps, foam cannon washes, or 3 different wash buckets with mitts and sponges. All you need is a good working pressure washer, a purified/deionized water, pressurized air supply to blow dry the car (i.e. a leaf blower), and plushy soft edgeless towels to buff dry any remaining water. Spray waxes and spray sealants are safe to use after to give an enhanced glossy finish. No clay bar, no hand or machine polishing, no compounding, and no hand wax or paste wax.
Q: Every other detailing shop I've talked to has told me even the lifetime ceramic coatings/"gold packages" need to be re-coated every year. Why is your lifetime coating just a one-time installation with no annual re-coats needed? What makes yours different from everyone else's?
A: Our researchers and developers spent years testing most major - and underground - ceramic coating brands and every possible application technique. After finding the best quality coatings and becoming certified detailers/ceramic installers with their respective companies, we tested their methods vs our own to really push the limits and get the longest lasting and strongest from each ceramic coating; giving our customers the best possible value and protection they're choosing to invest in for their cars. Most "detailers" on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and every car enthusiast forum online will preach what companies and partners want them to preach, or what their friend's friend's friend said that one time in the garage, therefore spreading inaccurate and fair-weather information to those trying to do research on finding what ceramic coating is best for their cars. Many customers will call and tell us what they heard or saw on YouTube, heard from a friend, or what they read in a Beemer forum in complete disbelief of what we offer to our customers, taking their word over ours, the actual professionals. We spent years and years testing all of these ideas and products so you don't have to, and so your mind can be at ease while we ceramic coat your car. But don't take our word for it, our work speaks for itself.
Q: I heard ceramic coatings have to be applied inside to avoid dust getting stuck in the coatings and can't be done outside in direct sunlight or heat. How do you accomplish this being a fully mobile service with no shop?
A: For starters, ceramic coatings can be installed in any environment; including rain, we have tents! We also have private garages to take your car to if your parking situation doesn't mix with the current weather. Ceramic coatings are installed by hand, and part of the installation process is wiping away excess coating moisture to let the bonded coating cure. Dust setting permanently with the coating is not a concern, as the car is constantly being wiped clean and the wiped-dry coating repels dust immediately. While we're happy to install the coatings to your car inside a garage if you have one, it's actually better to install them outside under sunlight and heat. The UV exposure allows better adhesion and curing between the coating and your car's clear coat and doesn't add complications for installation. We've installed coatings in driveways, street parking - even on the busiest roads - , parking lots (apartment complexes, shopping centers, public parks), above-ground and underground parking structures, warehouses, and private home garages.
Q: Do you do PPF too? What's the difference between PPF and ceramic coating?
A: No, we don't install PPF or vinyl wrap. PPF and vinyl wrap are custom fitted stickers, in essence, to go over each panel of your car. Ceramic coating is a liquid substance applied by hand that will cure and harden over time to form a glass shield over the entire car, permanently enhancing the gloss, shine, and even the color of the paint. PPF on the entire car is ideal for track cars and off-road vehicles. PPF tends to enhance the orange peel effect of your car's paint making it look repainted, and most films are more porous than the car's clear coat, inviting more dirt and contaminants to stain the film. For our customers who insist on getting PPF installed, we strongly recommend having the car ceramic coated first to provide a barrier between the film and the car's paint. PPF shops will tell you the film won't bind to the car if there's any wax or coating on it. We're here to tell you that's not true. Our company owners have several exotics that were coated by our detailers then wrapped with PPF over 6 years ago; and there have never been problems with the film coming off or bubbling. It's one of the wrap shop's marketing tools to upsell their ceramic coating to you after they've held your car hostage in their shop wrapping it for days or weeks. If you have us ceramic coat your car before getting it wrapped, we'll come back and coat the film/wrap at no extra cost to you.
Q: I spilled something in my car/Someone threw up in my car. Just a basic interior clean & shampoo will take care of that, right?
A: No. While an interior detail with shampoo & hot water extraction will definitely help clean the spill/stains out, it will likely not remove the smell entirely. If you're on a budget, we'll work with you the best we can. But also understand the hazards and efforts our detailer will have to undergo to render the best result possible without working for free, in essence. The most absolute method to eliminate any foul residual odors is to Ozone treat your interior cabin after doing a heavy clean-out, disinfection, shampoo, and hot water extraction. And in short, if something has spilled or if someone has thrown up in your car, that needs to be disclosed prior to us sending a detailer to you so they can be fully prepared to tackle the mission at hand and give you the best possible result.
Q: What is Ozone Treatment and how does it work? Why does it cost so much?
A: Ozone is the chemical compound O3 used to remove odors, bacteria, and viruses. An ozone generator will be placed inside your vehicle for a designated amount of time, depending on the strength of the odor, while your car is running with high/full recirculating AC on. As the gas permeates your car, the foul odor is neutralized and any bacteria and viruses are killed. Ozone generators are used in hospitals, hotel rooms, and car dealerships to purify and freshen the air within an enclosed space. We charge an hourly rate for ozone because your car will need to be running during the entire treatment, and our detailers cannot leave the generator nor your vehicle unattended for safety purposes. Ozone treatment is recommended to remove foul odors from cigarette/marijuana smoke, food/drink spills, vomit and other bodily fluids, mold/mildew, or to give your car's interior a refresh.
Q: Do I need to book an appointment or do you take walk-ins?
A: We prefer scheduling you an appointment so we can properly detail your vehicle without rushing the job, but most days we can do same-day appointments depending on what services are being requested. Example, it's 4:00 and you're on your way home from work sitting in traffic and realize your car hasn't been thoroughly cleaned in a long time, or ever, and you decide you want your car detailed. It would be best to schedule a detail for the following morning or next available time we have. We don't rush and we don't do "quick details." Another example: It's the weekend and you've got your friends over, and you're all talking about your cars and what mods and maintenance you've recently done on them. It dawns on you that what was once glossy dark black paint is now looking dull and has lots of webbing and swirl marks in it. You decide you want a full paint correction and maybe an interior detail too, it's been a while. If you're deciding this in the middle of the afternoon or close to evening time, don't expect it can be done that day. A job of that magnitude requires at least 5-6 hours and we don't keep our detailers out working after dark. You're paying for a quality professional service and you should get a quality professional result. That isn't obtained by rushing and getting a late start in the day. Plan out a day where you won't need your car and when we can get started in the morning, and we'll cover the rest. All services are done same-day, with the very small exception of those demanding extreme perfection.
Q; Why are your prices so expensive?
A: Our prices are higher than some competitors because our detail quality and product line outclasses competitors with incredible results that borderline restoration and actually last a long time compared to a couple days. Also, we only do one (1) vehicle per day and dedicate our staff to rendering the best possible quality and service humanly possible. We do not rush our work, skip steps to save time or money, nor use cheap quality products. If you enjoy a top quality personalized experience dedicated to you and your vehicle being brought to its best achievable condition, then you have found the best mobile detailers to service you. Unfortunately, if we lowered our prices we would have to skimp, rush, and do poor quality work to meet the demand by doing high volume, low quality details and we are proud to say that isn't how we operate. We do price match our direct competitors, however. We welcome fair pricing and occasionally have a discount sale running, check back often!
Q: Is an auto detailing shop's quality better than a mobile auto detailing service?
In most case scenarios the shop is a much easier environment to work in. Mobile details take a lot more skill to endure weather elements. Most mobile detailers will struggle to meet or exceed a detail shop's quality, but some mobile detailers are better than a shop detailer. We personally can render a perfect quality detail in almost any outdoor environment hot or freezing cold. This includes beyond detailing work such as paint correction polishing and ceramic coating installs as well. We are able to come out to you and within a few hours have your vehicle polished to perfection and even ceramic coating with no problems. Our talents and skills took many years to master, as well as finding the best top tier products that match quality with our skillset.
Q: What's the best way to book an appointment?
A: Simple as picking what you want from the price menu and telling us a preferred day and time that you'd like to have us come detail your vehicle. You can text or call our location that's closest to you, email us, or send us a Yelp quote message to schedule an appointment. You can find all methods of contact on our Contact page. We're very friendly and treat our customers with an immense amount of respect. If you're unsure of what service you need, feel free to ask us and we will be more than happy to give recommendations.
Q: Why do other detailers and mobile car wash guys charge less than you?
A: Their business model is to sell high volume, low quality car washes masqueraded as auto detailing to lure in most people looking to "get the best deal". This often leaves disappointing results and makes a customer feel like they wasted money despite paying a cheaper price.. Be cautious out there as there is an endless supply of 'mobile auto detailing services' on Google, Yelp, or Nextdoor that do not have any loyalty or respect to their customers. They want to give you a speedy car wash for the price of an undercut cheap detail to get your money. A word of friendly advice for anyone reading this, there are lots of shams out there! Invest your money wisely with a reputable, knowledgable, and transparent functioning auto detailer. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. You certainly get what you pay for in the auto detailing industry.
Q: Do you guys use good reputable products or the carwash stuff?
A: We happen to use hyper premium grade products that most detailers refuse to, simply because they cost way too much and eats up their profits. We're certified mobile detailers and mobile ceramic installers for Carpro, IGL, and Gyeon; and we use authorized professional grade detailing products and ceramic coatings from them. Things you wouldn't be able to buy from Pep Boys or Amazon. Our philosophy is simple: render the best service and quality possible or don't bother being in business. So we happen to deliver very strong on quality and customer service. Our details will easily outlast competitors for months on end without any questions asked and we can actually prove it too. If you like your detailed look to last a few days, maybe a week, contact the cheap competitors. If you like the detail to actually last for months and/or even years with our coating services, we're your guys/gals!
Q: How do I maintain my ceramic coating? What voids my warranty?
A: We've just ceramic coated your car and it's starting to look dusty. As we discussed at your appointment, do not wash the car for 3 weeks so the coating can cure and harden without interference. The car may be driven as soon as we're done, but avoid driving in wet, muddy, or snowy conditions for at least 3 weeks. You also need to avoid parking near water sprinklers or under trees to avoid staining and compromised ceramic coating integrity from hard water, bird droppings, and tree sap. When washing your car, we recommend using a high-pressure power washer and deionized water (reverse osmosis water, alkaline water, distilled water; any purified water that isn't sourced directly from your water tap; no spring water or mineral water!). You don't need soap, you don't need the fancy foam cannon. Just power wash the car, gently wipe off bugs or pollen as needed if it doesn't come off during the wash, blow-dry with a leaf blower, and use any spray wax/sealant to enhance the coating's shine. If you don't want to buy what's needed to do this, we offer a discounted maintenance wash service so you don't need to deal with any of the stressors of being a do-it-yourselfer. You may also visit your local DIY car wash. Just use their power washer high-pressure rinse, follow with a spot-free rinse, blow dry, done. Do not use the car wash's soaps, they're loaded with degreasers and acid cleaners that will break down your ceramic coating. And do not use their big push broom brush to clean the car, unless you want scratches and swirls everywhere. Avoid machine drive-thru washes and avoid touch-less drive-thru washes.
When you take your car in for a service (maintenance, recall, etc), do not let your dealer or service company wash, or in their words, "detail," the car when they're done. 9 times out of 10 they take your car to a drive-thru machine wash and use all the awful soaps and re-used towels and don't care about inflicting damage to your car. In the off chance they hand wash, they're still using hardened tap water which is harsh on coatings and there's always the risk of permanent staining if they don't wipe it all off. As long as it looks clean, it's detailed in their minds. These things will void your warranty. Damage to your ceramic coating from neglect, etchings and staining from bird droppings, bug guts, or tree sap, hard water staining from parking next to sprinklers or using hose water, abuse from improper washing, off-roading, car accidents, things that affect your ceramic coating after we've installed it that do not have to do with how we installed it, will not be recoated for free under warranty. However, if you find high spots or smudges from excess ceramic coating that wasn't wiped off completely and isn't wiping off after we've coated your car, please let us know and we will come back to remove the blemishes and recoat at no cost to you.
As long as the ceramic coating is washed and maintained within our recommendations, or washed and maintained by one of our detailers at least once a month, your ceramic coating will last as long as it's meant to.
